We have the privilege of working alongside the most talented vendors. We’ve chosen to begin a Creative Interview series highlighting the incredible professionals we’ve come to know and love through our last decade in the wedding and private events industry.

Mixology is a form of art, and it’s no secret that Fizzy Truck ATL owner, Billy Burch, is one of the best cocktail artists in the state of Georgia. Whether you want to get fizzy or frothy, Billy offers an immersive beverage service for all clients. Fizzy Atlanta is a premier mobile cart “serving up cocktails, wine, Prosecco, beer, kombucha, cold brew and almost any other beverage imaginable.” A member of our own favorite vendor team on and off for years, we know very intimately how much care and love Billy, his wife Casey, and their team put into their work. Billy makes the process easy for his clients by customizing his service based on customer wants and needs and loves getting creative with his cocktail concoctions. We asked him to delve into the secrets behind recipes, inspiration, and client relations, and this is what he delivered:

 

 

We have worked with you to curate cocktails for many of our clients' celebrations. What are your favorite "of the moment" libations?

I tend to try and stick with ingredients that are in season when creating new cocktails. It helps us ensure that our cocktails use mostly fresh and local ingredients when possible. This time of year it's amazing berries, herbs, melons and Georgia peaches. We just made a Georgia Peach and Basil Whiskey Sour for a wedding that was out of this world. It's fun to pair and layer complimenting flavors together to create fun new additions to our offerings.

 

If someone wanted to go over the top and use your company for all of the services you have, what would a dream wedding day look like with both Fizzy and Frothy in tow?

Our little Italian trucks were designed with this in mind. We wanted them to be similar in many ways, but also so they could be used in tandem to create even more of an experience. We pictured a progressive wedding where worldly wines and expertly crafted signature cocktails would flow from Fizzy's taps, then guests could venture over to Bean for a true taste of Italy. He would serve decadent gelato made by Atlanta's own Honeysuckle Gelato or maybe indulge in one of the best Espresso Martinis around. Then cap it off with an espresso, brewed using local favorite, East Pole Coffee. We can't wait for one of our clients to make our dream come true!

 
 

We know Fizzy and Frothy have become client favorites at so many of our events. How can they not be?! How do you convince clients that these trucks are not just a novelty, but an amazing "main course" for their wedding and socials?

Lucky for us, there isn't a whole lot of convincing needed. The nature of our business is highly visual, so potential clients reach out to us looking to have the trucks play a part in their overall event vision. For us, this is perfect because we're never tied to doing the same thing over and over again. We want our clients to give us an idea of what they are planning and we think of ways our service can compliment their needs and vision. We also want to make sure we deliver a level of service that matches the level of detail we put into our aesthetic. It plays into who we are as a brand. We want to be first class in every way, which is definitely reflected in our product and our service. Every time I read one of our reviews, it shows that all the hard work and attention to detail we put into the business and planning is 100% worth it.
